FAQ
How are 1Token's historical data obtained?
Historical data are requested through REST API, but different data return in different formats. For details, please refer to the examples and SDK provided below.
What are 'Download Points'?
1Token's historical data are obtained through RESTful API, therefore 1Token users must purchase 'Download Points' to their needs in advance. Each time the interface is called to obtain historical data, the 'Download Points' purchased ahead by the user will be deducted according to the amount of data returned.
How many 'Download Points' are consumed to obtain historical data? (Take the mainstream currency pairs in some major exchanges for example, the number of 'Download Points' consumed to obtain different data is exhibited below)
Consumption Points for Data of Mainstream Currency Pairs from Major Exchanges in Sept. 2019
Currency Pair | 1min K-line Chart | Transaction by Transaction | 20 Best Bids & Best Asks | Best Bid & Best Ask |
---|---|---|---|---|
binance/btc.usdt | 220 | 2390 | 2545 | 1185 |
okex/btc.usdt | 220 | 2075 | 3200 | 1150 |
okex/eos.btc | 220 | 1635 | 2660 | 1050 |
okef/btc.usd.q | 220 | 2475 | 2600 | 1050 |
okef/btc.usd.t | 220 | 1755 | 2600 | 1050 |
bitmex/btc.usd.td | 220 | 2615 | 2410 | 1160 |
gate/btc.usd.t | 220 | 882 | 1770 | 1633 |
gate/eos.btc | 220 | 1500 | 1660 | 820 |
Take the data of BTC/USDT pair in Sept. 2019 from Binance as an example. To obtain all 1-minute K-line data + all transaction by transaction data + 20 best bids & best asks data + best bid & best ask data, it would consume 220 + 2390 + 2345 + 1185 = 6340 “Download Points.
How is the price of each request calculated?
In principle, the more results returned per request, the more 'Download Points' consumed per request. For candle (K-line) data, the price is calculated according to the number of data pieces returned each time. Every 200 data pieces require 1 download point, and less than 200 data pieces are counted as 200. For tick and transaction data, (50 + 5 * X) download points are consumed for each request (X is the size of the returned data pack, in MB, rounded).
What is the difference between the various packages (versions) listed above?
The different price packages listed above have access to the same data types and formats, but different numbers of data pieces in total.
For unpaid users, how can they try the service?
Each registered user with their identity verified has 1000 free download points every day. You can use the free download points to try the interface of 1Token’s historical data and view the samples. The free download points will be reset daily.
Which exchanges and currency pairs are included in 1Token's historical data?
Currently, 1Token has comprehensively included 5 primary exchanges that have the highest trading volume in the world (Bitfinex, Binance, OKEX, Huobi, BitMEX), and more than 20 other mainstream exchanges.
Where does the historical data collected by 1Token come from? How is the quality?
The data collected by 1Token are all first-hand market data or historical data obtained from exchanges, which will rule out some significant data errors (unusual market fluctuations or inversions of buying and selling prices, etc.). Since most of 1Token’s historical data are recorded in real-time market tick, some of them are missing. Generally, the data interruption is relatively short, and the detailed status of missing data will be displayed to the users through API and interface.
Is there a way to obtain real-time market data?
We provide a free interface for real-time market data, and we highly recommend to subscribe through Websocket.
